If you do not have the title, you’ll need to order a duplicate before you can complete the transaction.

An Affidavit of Relationship, if the buyer is a relative.

If your car has tinted windows, you’ll need to have your vehicle inspected before you register it and complete the car title transfer

There may be additional documentation required depending on the county that you live in. 

The title application will be filled out when paper work is submitted by the County Clerk’s DOR office.
